Five members of the working group wrote articles in it: Dr. Regine Buschauer focusses on the distinction between Big Data as a “vision” and Big Data as a “data technology” while Dr. Bruno Gransche studies the role of Big Data predicting future incidents as a modern oracle. PD Dr. Jessica Heesen examines the impacts of Big Data on the process of shaping the democratic will and Dr. Andreas Kaminski is the co-writer of an article regarding the consequences on the selfhood. Finally, Prof. Dr. Arne Manzeschke explains the role Big Data is playing for ambient assisted living together with two co-writers. The renowned magazine International Review of Information Ethics (IRIE) is the official scientific journal of the International Center of Information Ethics (ICIE). The ICIE is an academic community that focusses on the investigation of information ethics and the IRIE shall therefore promote an international and intercultural discussion on the ethical impacts in the Information Age.
